Status RED Weather Alert In Place For Clare

A status RED weather warning is in place for Clare, Met Eireann's highest alert.

The county will be hit by up to 70 millimetres of rain overnight and tomorrow with gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour in some places.

Clare County council is urging home and business ownerse in flood prone areas to remain vigilant over the coming days due to the heightened risk of flooding and drivers are being warned to take extra care on the roads.
