A status orange freezing fog warning has been issued for Clare.
Met Éireann says dense fog will persist through the afternoon and into tonight, leading to very hazardous driving conditions.

The alert, which also covers Limerick, Galway, Tipperary and 17 other counties will remain in place until midnight tonight.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Co-ordination Group have left it up to individual schools to decide on telling students to stay at home or not.
Director of the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals, Paul Crone says decisions will be made locally.
