An announcement on the future of a well known Ennis Building Firm is still awaited after the firm ceased work on one of it’s major projects yesterday.
M Fitzgibbon Builders Ltd has yet to make any comment to Tralee Town Council who have contracted the firm to carry out work on a community centre development in the Kerry Town, though the local authority has said it’s still waiting to hear from the firm.
National Newspaper reports say the company, based on the Gort Road in Ennis may be going into receivership, but M Fitzgibbon Ltd has yet to make any public statement.
The firm has been in operation since 1985 and is currently involved in a number of local building projects including a Supermarket development in Miltown Malbay, and an extension corridor at Ennis General Hospital.
