A county Limerick Primary School was at the centre of a stand-off yesterday.

Subcontractors who claimed they were owned up to 20 thousand euro each moved into Kilfinane National School at around 2.30 turned off the power, neutralised the heating system and they began to strip the building of doors and other fixtures.
However a number of parents then blockaded the entrance with cars preventing the workers from leaving the premises with the equipment.
A High Court injunction was eventually secured by the school, preventing the workers from removing the seized property and the stand-off was resolved shortly after 9pm.
