Concerns have been expressed that staff numbers at an East Clare primary school could be halved due to education cut backs
Killaloe Boys National School has a current staff of 14 – including 9 mainstream teachers and 5 special needs assistants for its 105 pupils

Department of Education cuts are now expected to see the number of teachers cut to just 7.5 – and with further cuts to SNA numbers, parents are concerned for the implications to class sizes and services for their children
School Principal David McCormack says the school and the community will lobby the Minister for Education to reverse these cuts
