Staff at centres run by the Irish Society for Autism have been accused of giving residents the wrong drug doses.

The Irish Times reports that chemical restraint medicines were being administered by people who didn't know how much, or how often to give them.
Following HIQA inspections last year, three centres in Counties Westmeath and Kildare were taken over by the HSE, amid serious concerns about mismanagement.
Reports by the healthcare watchdog, detailed numerous risks for patients, including under staffing, a lack of training, and claims that residents in two of the centres were self-harming.
