A new festival is aiming to highlight the healing properties of sulphur water in North Clare.
The inaugarla Sesquicentennial Festival will take place in Lisdoonvarna from Friday the 18th of July to Sunday the 20th.

A programme of free events will explore the history of the town and the role of “the waters” of the wells.
Festival committee member Dermot Petty believes we need to return to harnessing the benefits of the wells.
