Spike In Trolley Numbers At UHL As 92 On Trolleys Today

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has spiked again today.

The latest INMO figures show there were 92 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 56 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is more than double the next busiest facility; University Hospital Galway, where 39 were waiting on trolleys.
