There’s been a spike in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.
The latest figures from the INMO show 60 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 48 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 20 more than the next busiest facility on a day when 337 people were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
