Speculation Surrounding A Possible Increase Of Ryanair Routes At Shannon

Ryanair could be set to significantly increase it’s commitment to Shannon Airport, on the back of a measure announced in Budget 2014.

Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen has claimed the decision to scrap the three euro travel tax will see the carrier bring an extra one million passengers into Ireland next year, including around 300,000 in Shannon.

The airline is to hold a post-Budget press conference in Dublin this afternoon, though it has given no indication on what it will announce.

Shannon Senator Tony Mulcahy, though, says Ryanair has no excuse not to bring more routes to Shannon.
