Special Needs Assistants Threaten Industrial Action

Special Needs Assistants are threatening industrial action – despite the announcement of almost a thousand new jobs yesterday.

An additional 975 SNA positions have been created by the Education Minister – an increase of 7.5 percent.

But existing assistants have been told they’ll be made redundant and must reapply for their posts.
