A Spanish fishing vessel is due to arrive in West Cork this morning after it was detained off the Clare coast yesterday following an alleged breach of technical fishing regulations.

The vessel was detained by the Naval Service boat, the LE Roisin, approximately 150 nautical miles of the Clare coast yesterday afternoon, and was then escorted to Castletownbere where it’s due to arrive today.
The boat will then be handed over to local Gardaí for further investigations.
The detention marks the third time this year that a vessel has been detained by the Naval Service.
