A member of the Spancilhill Fair Organising Committee says a decision on holding the event will have to be made before the end of the month.
It’s after it emerged that difficulties in obtaining insurance for the fair are putting its running this year under threat.

It’s understood Clare County Council is working to ensure cover is obtained, with Junior Minister Sean Fleming suggesting an approach should be made to Insurance Ireland.
Pat Hannon, who’s a member of the fair’s organising committee, says they’ll need time to make preparations if the event is to proceed.
