Spancilhill Fair Committee Put Longevity Of Festival Down To Strong Community Spirit

The organising committee of Spancilhill Fair say the longevity of the festival is down to the strong community spirit in the village.

The horse fair is returning next Thursday after a three year-hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic and after successfully overcoming problems with securing insurance which threatened its existence.

Last year marked the 400th anniversary of the fair, which will be celebrated this year instead.
