A South East Clare Mother is criticising the lack of support available to help working parents cope with the cost of living crisis.
According to the Irish League of Credit Unions, parents are spending over €1,500 on school costs for secondary school students and almost €1,200 on primary school children.

However, the back to school allowance is largely limited to those who are already in receipt of a social welfare payment.
Aisha Spruce is a mother of two in Kilmurry who works part-time and she feels that the current system means many working parents are left to struggle by themselves.
