Local representatives are welcoming the establishment of a new events centre on the Clare side of the UL campus, and the creation of 60 new jobs.
30 workers are already employed at The Pavillion, which is adjacent to new state-of-the-art sports facilities at UL, and officials say they expect to hire as many workers again within two months.

Westbury Councillor Pascal Fitzgerald is hoping that Clare residents will get to reap the benefits of the new centre.
