Here at home, the Irish branch of the African National Congress is organising a service at the Methodist Church on Abbey Street in Dublin this evening.
In South Africa, people are taking part in a day of prayer and reflection for their former president, who died on Thursday.
Mr Mandela’s ex-wife Winnie and the country’s president Jacob Zuma have been attending a service in Johannesburg.
