A Sligo man is set to undertake a 168km run from Clare to the Yeats County this weekend in memory of his late mother from Quin.
Paul Connolly from Tubbercurry is undertaking the run to raise funds for North West Hospice who looked after and cared for his mother Bridget who passed away in 2015.

Now on her 10th anniversary, Paul will trek from where Bridget started off in life in the Banner County to her final resting place in Achonry Cemetery and has already raised over €29,000 as part of the campaign.
He’s expecting a journey of mixed emotions.
