Canada's Prime Minister says the fatal shooting of a soldier in Ottawa and gunfire in the Parliament Buildings are grim reminders that the country isn't immune to terrorist attacks.

Last night was the second time in two days that the country's security forces had confronted an attack on the streets, after a man ran down a soldier with his car in Quebec on Monday.
But Prime Minister Stephen Harper insists the country will not be intimidated and will not weaken Canada's resolve to fight terrorism.
