The sod has been turned on the new school building for Ennis CBS.
The project includes 24 classrooms, a hall, a special needs unit and ancillary rooms to house the school’s 650 pupils.

Students and staff there have been accommodated in a mix of out of date buildings and prefebs in recent years.
The €4.5 million project is now officially underway after several delays, with Brother Dónal Healy, a popular teacher in the school and one of the last remaining Christian Brothers still teaching in Ireland, turning the sod this afternoon.
