The Social Protection Minister claims her Department will do what they can to ensure free hot meals continue to be available at a Clare secondary school.
It follows a parliamentary question from Kilrush TD Violet Anne-Wynne who asked that the Hot School Meals programme be extended for the entire year at Ennis Community College, which is an amalgamation of three schools.
It comes one week after 900 additional school were approved for the scheme nationwide, meaning a further 24 schools in Clare are now eligible.
Responding to Independent Deputy Wynne in the Dáil, Minister Heather Humphreys says her Department is committed to ensuring equality exists between all students.
