The government is being urged to extend a scheme which has seen the public pump millions of euro into the construction sector.

Homeowners across Ireland are spending 6 million a week renovating their houses, a figure which has increased because of the Home Renovation Scheme that was announced in last October's budget.
Clare, though, has had a relatively low take-up of the scheme, with 136 projects valued at 1.9 million euro completed here so far this year.
