Clare appears to have seen a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases diagnosed here in the past ten days.
County breakdowns of daily coronavirus cases have been limited since the HSE cyber attack, but figures from Public Health Midwest show 38 cases were confirmed here between Sunday May 16th and this past Saturday, May 22nd.

That Sunday saw nine new cases confirmed here – the highest daily case figure in Clare in a number of weeks – though last Friday, no new cases were recorded by public health officials, only the second time that’s happened in 2021.
5 new cases were confirmed here on Sunday, May 23rd, with fewer than five diagnosed this past Monday.
