Figures released from the Irish Aviation Authority show an average of 41 flights at day at Clare's international airport last month.
However, the total number is 8 less than in March of last year.
Shannon received a boost last month when Stobart Air announced a quick return to their airport, by confirming that it will operate a six-times weekly return service to Birmingham from June.
