Sláinte An Chláír is calling on the government to expand medical card access to all cancer patients in budget 2024.
The maximum income threshold for those wishing to avail of a medical card currently stands at €298 per week for married couples and single parents aged over 66 with child dependents.
While, only children aged under 18 years and patients who are terminal or undergoing palliative care are entitled to cards without a means test.
