Sixmilebridge World Champion Honoured For Success

A Sixmilebridge man who was recently crowned a world champion has been honoured for his success.

Ros Wynne from Sixmilebridge, a member of the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union, has been honoured by the Union weeks after he came first in the World in aircraft maintenance in the WorldSkills Competition in Brazil.

Ros was honoured at an event in Limerick last night in an event attended by Eamon Devoy, General Secretary of the TEEU, and by Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan.

Another local apprentice, Bunratty-based Latvian native Alina Sile, was crowned world champion in the Restaurant Service category in the event in Brazil in August.
