Sixmilebridge Solicitor Concerned Over Red Tape In Personal Injuries Bill

A Sixmilebridge solicitor has expressed concern that changes to how compensation is paid to victims of major injuries will add to families’ stress.

The Civil Liability (Amendment) Bill 2017 has just passed through the Oireachtas and could see money paid out periodically in cases of catastrophic injury.

This would mean a regular review of the plaintiff’s injuries and care needs which would mean returning to court for these instances.
