A Garda investigation has been launched after three people were tied up in their East Clare home, as it was being ransacked by intruders.
At around 4.30 yesterday afternoon, three men, who were armed with weapons called to a house in Drumullen, Kilmurry, Sixmilebridge and forced their way inside.
They tied up two of the occupants straight away, and also a third who returned to the house shortly afterwards.

Gardaí say the men were in the house for approximately half an hour, ransacked two bedrooms and made their escape with cash, jewellery and the occupants mobile phones.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Triona Brooks is appealing to anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
