A son of County Clare will be playing a pivotal role in this year’s New York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
Gerry Grady, who hails from the Minister’s Cross in Sixmilebridge, will serve as the Grand Marshal for Irish and Irish-American building managers association the Emerald Guild Society in this year’s procession.

Having moved to New York in 1993 after completing his Leaving Cert, Gerry worked in a moving company and various construction jobs before becoming involved in the building industry and now manages luxury high-rise buildings.
He says being front-and-centre of the iconic event is nothing short of an honour.
