There’s been a 6% jump in property prices in Clare in the past year.

Figures compiled by the Irish Independent reveal that the average price of a three bed semi in Ennis is now €190,000, up from €170,000 12 months ago.

That’s expected to go past the €200,000 barrier during the year ahead.

The rise is being attributed to the town’s proximity to Limerick, Galway and Shannon.

Outside of Ennis, an average three bed semi is €160,000, a four bed semi €185,000 and a four bedroom bungalow €220,000.
