Six Passenger Flights Diverted To Shannon Following Dublin Fire

At least six passenger flights were diverted to Shannon this morning, due to a fire in a hangar in Dublin Airport.

The fire has been contained, but operations had be suspended for over an hour while it was battled.

While this occured, hundreds of people made an unscheduled visit to Clare as an Etihad flight from Abu Dhabi, Ryanair services from the UK and a number of Aer Lingus transatlantic flights were diverted to Shannon.
