Clare County Council is in line to receive almost six million euro over the coming three years to tackle accident black spots in the county.
A total pot of 187 million euro is to be distributed to local authorities around Ireland by IPB Insurance – it’s money that the councils have paid in premiums over the years.

2.55 million euro will be made available in the fourth quarter of this year for use in tackling “risk” areas – as well as a further 1.6 million in both 2018 and 2019.
