Six Clare Students Awarded Mary I Entrance Scholarships After Impressive Leaving Cert Results

Pictured recently at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) was Emma Fennell from Kilrush, Co. Clare, who received an Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship to the Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching) programme at MIC. The scholarship, valued at €2,000, was awarded on the basis of high-level CAO points obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examination. Six Clare students have been awarded an Entrance Scholarship from Mary Immaculate College in recognition of their Leaving Cert results.

Kilrush’s Emma Fennell and John McMahon, Fahriye Dilmac from Clonlara, Clarecastle’s Jane Tuohy, Zoe Roche from Kilkee and Ailbhe Doherty from Ennis are among 47 students to be recognised by the institution this week.

The scholarships are worth 2000 euro each, with many of those awarded the prize achieving the maximum of 625 points in the State exams last year.
