The number of arrests for drink driving in the Clare Garda division has risen marginally over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Figures released by the Clare Garda Traffic Corps show there were 6 people arrested under suspicion of drink-driving since Thursday, up from 5 last year.
There were no fatal or serious accident road traffic crashes and the number of crashes where there was material damage has dropped significantly from 26 last May Bank Holiday to 15 this year.
