An Ennis business owner, who’s brother passed away in a tragic drowning incident, is appealing to the public to think twice before entering the water this summer.
In May of 2018, Jack Keneally & Shay Moloney tragically lost their lives after getting into difficulty while swimming in an abandoned quarry outside Ennis.
The students of Ennis Community College & St Flannan’s College formed an integral component of Ennis Rugby club’s underage squads.
Jack’s sister, Danielle Keneally, who’s also the owner of Wix n Wax in Ennis, is launching a water safety fundraiser next month, which will see a special product called blue daisy available to purchase, to raise funds for water safety awareness.
Danielle says that all recreational swimmers regardless of ability, cannot afford to take anything for granted.
