The Housing Minister's acknowledged that the Home Sweet Home campaign got people talking about homelessness in recent weeks.
It follows the agreement of a deal between Simon Coveney and activists which is expected to end the occupation of Apollo house in Dublin city centre.
Minister Coveney today praised the work of long standing organisations like Cluid and the Father Peter McVerry trust for the work they do with him on homelessness.
But he admitted that the Home Sweet Home campaign did get people talking.
