MidWest Simon is calling on the Government to close loop holes in legislation which the organisation claims can ultimately push families into homelessness.
New figures show the number of adults listed as homeless in the county has more doubled since the government launched it’s ‘Rebuilding Ireland’ action plan last year, while the number of homeless children in this region has more than trebled.
Midwest Simon says there’s increasing numbers of families who have been issued with eviction notices where the landlord is citing family reasons or the sale of the property.
