There’s been a significant drop in the number of new cars sold in Clare in the first month of this year, compared with 2018.
Figures compiled by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that 767 new 191 units were sold here in January, down from 877 a year previously.

That 12.5% drop roughly mirrors the national trend and the SIMI is putting it down to concern over Brexit.
