Witnesses are being sought after a number of cars in the Shannon area were significantly damaged earlier this week.
Shortly before 11 o’clock on Monday night, a white Vauxhall Astra parked in the Purcell Park area was damaged by two men, who fled the scene on foot in the direction of Shannon town.
One of the men involved is believed to have gotten into a red vehicle, while the second continued on foot into Shannon town.
While Gardaí were on mobile patrol in the Cul Greine area the same night, they observed a white Volkswagen Passat and a silver Toyota Corolla with extensive damage.
Gardaí believe these two incidents of criminal damage happened on Monday night between half eleven and midnight and Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan is appealing for information.
“These three incidents of criminal damage occurred between 10.30pm and midnight.
“Shannon Gardaí are appealing to anyone that was in the Purcell Park or Cul na Greine areas last night who may have seen two males on foot, or observed the red vehicle in the area ton contac them.
“If anyone has nay information in relation to any of these incidents, please contact Shannon Garda Station on 061 365 900”.
