Clare’s award-winning local radio station has recorded a significant boost in listenership.
The latest JNLR/Ipsos listenership figures, published today, confirm that radio continues to thrive in Ireland, with a record 3.9 million people tuning in every week, while on average, listeners spend over four hours a day enjoying live radio content.
Clare FM has once again strengthened its position as the number one radio station in the county.
Celebrating a hat-trick of growth, the latest results show a 2% increase in Daily Reach, a 1% rise in Market Share, and a 3% boost in Weekly Reach.
Each week, over 62,000 people are tuning in to Clare FM, which Programme Director Padraic Flaherty says is a testament to the station’s trusted local service and strong connection with the community.
“We’re delighted to welcome thousands of new listeners to Clare FM.
“The latest survey results show strong growth in our daily listenership, Market Share, and weekly reach. Over the past year, more than 10,000 new listeners have joined us — a clear reflection of the important role Clare FM plays in keeping people across the county informed and connected.
“Our commitment to serving local needs remains at the heart of everything we do, with a focus on delivering trusted news, unrivalled sports coverage, and engaging content from all our On Air presenters.
“This summer promises to be an exciting one for listeners, with fantastic competitions, the grand finale of the Best of Clare Awards, and plenty of surprises along the way,” said Clare FM Programme Director Padraic Flaherty.
