Tributes are being paid following the sudden death of an East Clare man and well known Celtic musician in the US.
Ray Kelly, originally from Whitegate, but who had been living in New York was injured in a work place accident in the states and passed away last Wednesday.

The vocalist and guitarist was the front man for for the New York City Celtic rock group, The Mickey Finns.
He’s survived by his wife Liz, sons Robert and Jude, daughter Rachel along with his mother Alma, brothers and extended family .
Paying tribute – Whitegate Councillor and former classmate Pat Burke says he was popular and well-loved in the area.
