There’s been a sharp rise in the number of burglaries across the county in the past fortnight.

Nine properties were tagetted in Kilrush, Ennis, Shannon, Broadford, Killaloe and Sixmilebridge between Sunday, February 12th and yesterday.

Thieves got away with a number of items including cars parked outside the homes, cash and jewellery.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Joe Downey says a number of expensive items were taken during a burglary at Ballyheefy, Killaloe between the 14th and 19 of this month.
