Sharp Drop In Trolley Numbers At UHL

There has been a significant reduction in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.

The latest figures from the INMO show only 5 patients were left waiting on trolleys in the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick this morning.

The overall figures is 16 fewer than the country’s busiest facility and comes on a day when 50 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
