Shannondoc says it stands over controversial changes to Clare’s out-of-hours GP services, following a three-month review.
There was a strong public opposition last year to a decision to serve Killaloe by a mobile doctor on weekdays, and the re-location of weekday services from Ennistymon and Kilrush to Miltown Malbay.

Shannondoc says that it’s now surveyed patients and doctors affected and insists that satisfaction levels are high.
The service has revealed that a tele-doc facility which was introduced in Kilrush has been wound up after just 2 months, due to a lack of demand.
