There's been outrage across large parts of the county following the announcement of changes to the out-of-hours GP service in Kilrush, Ennistymon and Killaloe.
During a Dáil debate, Junior Health Minister Marcella Corcoran-Kennedy insisted the decision would be kept under review, and that the government is committed to re-examining the GP contact to make practicing in rural areas more attractive.
However, Deputy Timmy Dooley wants the government to intervene immediately.
