An East Clare Councillor is accusing Shannondoc of giving the ‘two fingers’ to local representatives after turning down an invitation to appear before a meeting of Clare County Council.
Tony O’Brien put forward a motion in February calling for senior management from Shannondoc to appear before the local authority to address their scaled-back service provision in Clare in light of their financial standings.
However, the company has now declined the invitation on the grounds that it is in a Service Level Agreement with the HSE.
Killaloe Fianna Fáil Councillor Tony O’Brien, believes this is merely an excuse to avoid accountability.
