A Shannon wheelchair user is calling for improved access for people with disabilities throughout the county.

The latest CSO report on disabilities show that 21.3% of the Clare population live with a disability to any extent or at least one-long lasting condition.

Niamh O’Callaghan claims amentities such as public toilets, buses and manual doors into public buildings continue to be a problem for people with impairments in the region.
