The group behind the Shannon Venue project has officially transferred the 99-year lease of the town centre site to the local authority.
The move has been completed to allow Clare County Council to build the One Shannon Hub, which will be a multi-functional civic & community facility.

The Venue concept started in 2012, but was shelved due to a funding shortfall.
Chair of the Shannon Venue, Derek Barrett, says the council will be able to achieve and exceed what they set out to do a decade ago.
