New figures show air traffic through Shannon fell by 29 percent in February.
The statistics from the Irish Aviation Authority reveal 1,712 commercial aircraft used the Mid West Airport last month.

Its almost two hundred less than Cork which according to the figures is set to overtake Shannon as the county’s second business airport.
Overall traffic at the three airports saw a 21 percent fall off in the month of February.
