Shannon, Knock, Kerry and Donegal airport will benefit from this new programme.

Minister Darragh O’Brien says it will help balance regional development, while also funding new safety and security initiatives.

The investment will also support sustainability projects and help the regional airports meet their carbon emission targets.

A new daily route between Derry and Dublin will also be launched as part of the Government’s public service obligation air services. It’s expected to begin taking passengers later this year.
